Automotive wire and cable compounds have to balance heat ageing, cold bend and volume resistivity. TOTM combines high temperature tolerance with low volatility, which suits 105°C rated formulations; where a lower cold bend temperature is required it can be blended with DOS / DOA so that both heat ageing and cold service are covered.

Dosage and processing direction
TOTM carries the main plasticizing load for heat ageing; for cold service DOS / DOA is blended according to the target bend temperature, with the ratio confirmed by cold testing.
Control the temperature profile and residence time during extrusion and granulation so that electrical and mechanical data stay consistent between batches.

Why blend a cold-resistant plasticizer?
