Artificial leather and interior skins place three demands on the plasticizer: long-term softness without tackiness, no hardening or brittleness at low temperature, and no exudation to the surface under heat and humidity cycling. DB series non-phthalate plasticizers gel consistently in calendering and coating processes, so they can carry the main plasticizing load in a conventional formulation and be blended with a cold-resistant co-plasticizer where interior durability requires it.

Dosage and processing direction
The main plasticizer follows the hardness target; for winter conditions DB55 is normally the base with a cold-resistant ester blended in, and the ratio is confirmed by low-temperature flex and exudation tests.
